Whats up with the Hair Debate???

Straight hair...

Black women are critisized if they get their hair straight. Why not white women???

I know plenty of white women that have naturally curly hair and straighten their hair.

In my opinion, keep it natural. Unless you just wanna try out some different hairstyle, your natural hair is best.

I do see an overwhelming amount of black women with perms... I wish more had their natural hair i think its so pretty.

Whats up with the Hair Debate???

Some white people feel that their overly bleached, limp, lice infested, lifeless hair is their greatest asset. Therefore, they spend most of their time trying to make us feel bad about ours.

Whats up with the Hair Debate???

It's sooo stupid, then some people act like all black people have course hair and that only white people can have diverse hair.

Whats up with the Hair Debate???

I have natural curly hair and every once and a while i would straigten it. But not anymore. It takes too long and it makes my hair look bad...too much damage.

If they want to straigten their hair let them. Its their own hair. Let them spend the money and time to do so.

Whats up with the Hair Debate???

It is called institutionalized racism. When the idea that your natural hair (%26amp; skin color) is ugly has been hurled at you over %26amp; over for hundreds of years, the concept becomes ingrained in your psyche. You internalize it and think it is true-thus doing harmful things to your hair %26amp; skin to make it more "acceptable"

I'm half Cherokee, half Irish, and have naturally stick-straight, thick, medium-coarse brown-black hair. I can always tell the Italian gals around here who straighten theirs because it doesn't move well. You're right, it should be kept natural because it looks idiotic when they do it. Almost like the hairs on a paintbrush.

Whats up with the Hair Debate???

cause they racists

Whats up with the Hair Debate???

I don't get it either. I think people have the right to do whatever they want with their hair, their is no reason to criticized someone over their choice. Hair is just an expression of your personality some prefer it straight, curly, wavy, natural, etc.
