How soon after coloring hair blonde and messing up, can i color it again to fix it?

I get my hair done (blonde highlights) every couple months, but it costs me a fortune. So my husband and I decided to color it blonde at home (big mistake!) and my roots are orange and so are the brown parts of my natural hair. I want to go brown because its for the best. My hair is making me feel sooo ugly and I want to color it soon. We colored it blonde about 2 weeks ago, how much longer must i wait. I know my hair is damaged, but just one more time to blend in with my roots! Then Im going to let my natural hair grow out, for good!

I have survived a number of hair color disasters and agree with the first poster totally. Make sure that you do not choose a brown with the word "golden" or "reddish" in it, like she said, choose "ash" or even with something with the word beige. Doing so will help the orange tones balance out. Good luck!

Use a semi-permanent/deposit only brown color over it first, to "fill" the porosity of your hair and allow the brown color you want to use to grab onto the blonde parts. Then, use a permanent neutral or ash brown color over it to lessen orange tones slightly. Just do it and get it over with, dont wait any longer. Once it is all dyed, buy a good expensive conditioner and treat your hair to a protein treatment once a month while you are growing it out.

You usually have to wait 2 months or you can damage your hair try using cellophanes for now
