ok my natural hair color is black. I dyed it to light brown twice and it stayed brown. so then i dyed it back to black three times but it keeps going back to brown on its own within a week or two. Why cant I get my natural hair color back to stay?

hmmm well it sounds like you have the same problem as me. Your hair is probably overwelmed by all the color you have put on your hair..so now it won't grab the color. you probably need to wait a little while and then try it again, because your hair needs a break. =]

Hair color is famous for fading!

I used to go through this very thing. I have dark brown hair and when I tried to get it back I would dye it dark brown that in a few weeks would fade to a lighter dark brown. Three years ago I dyed my hair with a temporary black for Halloween. As the temporary dye washed out my hair settled on a shade that was so close to my own that once the roots began to grow you couldn't tell the difference!

Have you tried to have it professionally colored? I don't know if this would make a difference or not.

wear a silk cap when u sleep. you rub off the color at night
