I was coloring my hair last night, and after i dried it, the color didn't look the same as it normally does. I realised that instead of the normal 4C that i buy, i somehow came home with 4N! I use Natural Match by Loreal, it accentuates your natural hair color, i like it because it makes my hair just a touch darker. Well looking at it today, my roots have a reddish orange tint to them, and my hair overall has reddish tones, which is not what i was looking for. My wedding is in three weeks, i don't want to distroy my hair, but i really want to redo it. What would you recomend? I want to go home tonight and redo it, but what dye will cover all of this, i don't think the natural match is going to be strong enough. Or should i just live with my mistake?

If your hair is that bad off, you definately need a color correction, and you also need a deep conditioning for that damaged hair. Wait about 2 weeks if you can. if you cant afford a pro. service, go to SALLYs beauty supply store, if you have one in your town, get some cholesterol, which has carotin in it to strengthen your hair, tripple silk which is an excellent deep conditioner, and which ever color you normally buy. do your color first but you dont need to leave it in for long.Just enough time for your hair to absorb the color( do a strand test). then afteryou have washed out the color and towel dryed it, mix those two products together enough for all of your hair. you can get a color brush for 65cents or so at sallys too and get a friend to section your hair and apply the conditioner mix. if you have a plastic cap, also from sallys, put it on your head, and blow with a blow dryer for maybe 5 min off and on so you dont melt the cap for about 15 to 20 min ..then rinse and your hair should feel better.

Try using a dark brown (DON'T USE BLACK!) hair dye over it. Be sure to use a permanent one too, I wouldn't use Natural Match I don't think it would be strong enough to go over your own hair color. But doing it yourself always carries the risk of it not turning out right. Sometimes hair dye just won't cover up other dye. So I'd recommend going to a salon and having them fix it. They will be able to get it to the color you want without ruining your hair.

If you're going to color your hair, you should definitely use Loreal Feria. Yes, this line has many wild and crazy colors, but they also have many subtle, more natural colors to choose from. I change hair colors about once every six months and have been doing this for years now and this, by leaps and bounds, is the best hair color yet. by the way, my hair is not damaged a bit. using hair color wisely can actually be good for your hair.

also, i know three weeks doesn't sound very long, but in terms of your hair, it's long enough. maybe try using Prell or dishwashing soap (yep, i said it) to strip the excess color. after doing that, use a deep conditioner to restore the moisture. then have at it, girly.
