Straight, oily hair, and a perm in one!?

So I have pin straight hair that I used to religiously dye every month for 2 years and stopped a year ago ( my hair is now half my all natural hair and half the pre-dyed hair ) i am letting it grow out as long as i can and want to get a body wave but i don't know what type of hair holds perms best.

i've been looking up info for the past week when i have time but can't seem to find if someone with straight, previously overdyed hair and hair taht gets oily very fast is a good candidate or not.

also, is it ok to wash your hair everyday when you have it permed? i need to as my hair is so straight and gets greasy every morning and needs to be washed..

so if someone can just help me go and do it or stay away from it :) i'd love to have a nice body wave without my hair falling out, but if i can't then i'd really rather avoid it altogether!

the fact you died your hair shouldnt matter unless you dyed it recently... if it is grown out quite a but then it wont be a problem. Dye really isnt very damaging to your hair and becuase you havent dyed lately you wont have to worry about a chemical reaction.. most of the chemicals are gone. As far as the kind of hair that is best i dont really know... youd have to ask at a salon for that, but i think they can use things to make the perm best for your hair so that it stays... but it your hair hasnt been dyed.. dont worry about it falling out.. all that "new" hair growth isnt damaged and your hair falls out from the roots.. not the ends! if your hair is really dry or damaged however.. i would reconsider getting a perm until you have nursed your hair back to health and gotten a trim

goodluck
