Hair cut n colour. need some opinions :)?

wow i love her hair! haha

it looks like it's layered all around and choppy

i think you should go for it, because i was going to suggests that hair cut either way

you should be different from her and keep the color, but add thick blond highlights in a random spot of your hair (preferably the bottom)

Hair cut n colour. need some opinions :)?

The blonde hair style and coloring in the photo with the horizonal stripes Top is very complimentary to your facial features. The bangs coming forward from the crown of your head and I much prefer the shorter hair styles anyway. You can't go wrong with keeping that one and hon, it is not boring..... no way. I would keep it if I were you. But if you just have to have a change, find something similar; not that different. As I said, the blonde coloring is perfect for you. You really do look better in a lighter shade.

Hair!!?!!!!?!!?!!?

this isnt to important but i dyed my hair a while back brown and it is fading!! i wanted it to but now its almost blonde and my natural hair color is black...am i loosing my real color? and why is my hair soo dry now? i haven died it for about 4 months and i thought my real color should have been grown out by now but it hasnt is there anything i can do to get my natural color back?

Hair!!?!!!!?!!?!!?

i know what you mean i have been trying to dye my hair back to brown forever but it always goes bloned again my sister said all you can do is let it grow out to get your really hair color back. my advice go to a salon and ask if theres anything you can do.

Hair!!?!!!!?!!?!!?

Hi.

You can find highly useful resources for managing your hair on http://healthonlineinfo.info . It's a very useful webguide dealing with hair related issues. Report It

Hair!!?!!!!?!!?!!?

dye all of ur hair black! its gonna look AWESOME!! =]

NICE AVATAR!

Hair!!?!!!!?!!?!!?

Haha of course its important sweetheart. Dont worry too much-- you can go to a salon and get your hair "stripped"-- it takes all of the fake color out and gets you back to your original color (which you havent lost). Unfortunately its not great for your hair but the important thing is that you learned your lesson! :)

Hair!!?!!!!?!!?!!?

Your diet can affect your hair plus the environment you are in.

Remember it is winter and the air is dryer so your hair will be too if you are outdoors allot or in the wind.....Use a conditioner and don't be cheap, buy a good name brand conditioner and you should be OK....the color should come back on it's own unless your hair might be turning gray...

Washing hair with dish detergent?

Hi! I just used a semi-permanent dye on my hair and its too dark so I was just wondering, will the color go away if I wash my hair with dish detergent?? I heard that it is harsh on the hair, but I am planning on putting lots of moisturizing conditioner on it afterwards and also a moisturizing leave in conditioner. Also, if I wash it again with dish detergent, will it lighten my natural hair color?? My hair is naturally dark brown and I want it to be a bit lighter. I heard that if you wash with dish detergent it will make your hair lighter. Is this true?? Thanks!

Washing hair with dish detergent?

I agree with the girl below me....dish detergent is a NO NO!!!!! Also, too many chemicals in your hair will def. make ur hair fall out.....I suggest buying a color coded shampoo from the store(John Frieda and Pantene has some great ones)such as the color you would like your hair to b and use that...And since you have that color in ur hair, you might want to use the most moisturizing conditioner you can get.

Washing hair with dish detergent?

NO DO NOT DO THAT! If you want to lighten the color that is to dark....get a professional claryfing shampoo. Like a peppermint shampoo or paul Mitchell's shampoo 3. Put it on your hair dry ( a lot of it) Cover it with a plastic bag and then wrap your hair in a towel. Let the heat from your scalp warm it up. After about 45 minutes, wash out and then deep condition. Repeat if needed.

Washing hair with dish detergent?

DONT DO THAT.

it ruins you hair.

it is semi-perminate right?

wash it a bunch over the next week or so with a regular shampoo(not a hair dye shampoo)and it will lighten up.

Washing hair with dish detergent?

I wouldn't do that try washing it a lot and buy a special shampoo.

Washing hair with dish detergent?

Washing with a dish detergent like Dawn will help rinse out some of the excess color from your botched dye job. However, don't expect any miracles. It will not lighten your natural hair color. As it can be harsh on the hair, you're right, it would be a good idea to follow up with a quality conditioner.

If you want to lighten your hair color, it would be wise to have it done in a salon. Most at-home boxed colors contain very harsh bleaching agents and run the risk of turning your dark hair a brassy orange.

Washing hair with dish detergent?

oh no it sounds like your hair would turn out to be like straw if you did that. try getting some special shampoo and over time the color will wash away..

Natural Relaxers?

I'm African-American and I have natural hair right now, no chemicals. I don't want to get a perm again because I know the efrects, and with my hair it will do more harm then help. But I also have very thick hair and frizzs up as soon as it hits moisture. So, hot combing it won't help. I've heard of natuarl relaxers(all natuarl relaxer, no chemicals), where can I buy one? What are the name some?

Natural Relaxers?

I recently used this one on my friend who has EXTREMELY thick hair with very tight curls. her hair was very damaged because she blow dried and then flat ironed everyday.

while her hair didn't turn out sleek and silky it definitely wasn't in worse condition then before and she says that it's actually healthier than than before we did it. I highly recommend it!

http://www.freshlookhair.com/bodiphier.h...

Natural Relaxers?

i honestly dont think u should try 2 put any type of natural relaxers in ur hair. i dont know of any. think if u use a good moisterizer like oilve to keep moisture in ur hair and if ur dont wont it so fizzy or u want a straight style i say go to a stylist and have them press it but make sure they know how to deal with natral hair because they could cause damage 2. belive me i know good luck on whatever u decied

Ughhh hair probemmmm!!!! HELP.?

i just dyed my hair dirty blonde with bergondy hilights but the hilihts arent that noticible. %26amp;my natural hair color is semi-dark brown. %26amp; i hate my new hair color, i dont have enough money to get my hair redyed and i cant buy the self-do ones.(my mom wont let me) what do i do... %26amp; the lady cut it tooo short

I MISS MY LONG BRUNETTE HAIR. what do i do.

Ughhh hair probemmmm!!!! HELP.?

That sucks! :(

I feel bad for you because something similar has happened to me too.

I honestly don't have an immediate safe solution for you, but please read the rest of my answer...

My natural hair color is sort of semi-dark brown too.

For a drama, i was made to use a green dye with a promise that i will have my hair color back as soon as possible. But the dye cost too much so i had to live with green hair.

I still have green hair. What i do is that i try to get used to it.

I try to think that my hair is cool green. I try to "appreciate" my dumb hair. Whats worse, now my hair has lost some green color so it looks more like are cheap green color (lizard green, i guess).

Thats enough about me, now lets move to you. What you could do is try to like your new hair while saving up money for dyeing it semi-darkbrown again. Try to appretiate your new hair.

I know it is impossible and that I can never understand but this is the way i avoided suffering over my hair's weird color.

Appretiating your new hair will help you not feel too sad over your new hair color, and after you save up enough, you can have the semi-dark brown color again :).

Besides, after you save enough money to have your semi-dark brown hair back, your hair will grow and will be long again.

And look at it this way, when your hair is short, you could entertain yourself by curling some locks. Blond locks look really sexy.

My solution will take more than 4 months at least, but it will keep you satisfied and you WILL end up with long, semi-dark brown hair again.

I wish i had my semi-dark brown hair back.

Cheers, Sam :)

Ughhh hair probemmmm!!!! HELP.?

your screwed then!

Ughhh hair probemmmm!!!! HELP.?

save up your money. Wear it Up in a cute pony tail for now.

On the weekend, experiment with different styles and see if u can find one you really like!

It will grow, and you'll eventually get used to it!

Hey, bad haircuts happen!

MY HAiR COLOR IS MESSED UP!!?

OK well for the past few summers i put lemon juice in it so halfway down my hair is a weird dark blond color. The other half is my natural hair color (dark brown). The very top my mom was gay and let me dye my hair, i thought she was going to dye my whole head but she just did the top, a purpleish tint. IT LOOKS SO BAD.A So now my hair is jacked up and my mom wont let me re-dye it no matter what. Is there anything like a homemade hair dye or something i could do to dye my hair dark brown or black??

MY HAiR COLOR IS MESSED UP!!?

use semi-permanent, if you use them a few times the colour just becomes permanent even though they're meanna wash out.

do it on the quiet x like with a few mates or something x there's not much else you can do x i know how you feel i had reddish roots with my black hair and it didn't look too great, so i dyed it back to a similar natural colour.

MY HAiR COLOR IS MESSED UP!!?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

MY HAiR COLOR IS MESSED UP!!?

Go to Walmart or a large drugstore and look for "Fanciful Rinse. It will cover whatever mess you have, BUT you have to reapply it after each shampoo. You comb it through after you wash your hair. It is available in a wide range of colors and it isn't too expensive, so just get the dark brown one. Maybe it will be called chocolate or "mink" or some sort of cute name...it absolutely, positively will NOT hurt your hair. I recommended it here to someone else %26amp; she was thrilled with the results. I have used it myself when I got my hair really brassy years ago. So, just keep using that until your mom calms down %26amp; lets you put in a more permanent rinse.

Hair Dye Dilemma?

Back in February, I bleached my dark brown hair to white and dyed over it with manic panic/special effects blue. In April/May I dyed over the faded blue with Dark brown and it came out a bit too dark. Now, last month (june and july) I tried going back to my natural colour of brownish red/auburn and it only dyes my roots, evne though the brown faded, it stays brown.

Was it the blue and brown fusing together to create black that I have to stripe down? Because now I have red roots and dark brown hair, it looks really bad. Should I seek the help of a specialist to get my natural hair colour back? Or do it myself with an at home bleaching kit?

Hair Dye Dilemma?

Absolutely go to a professional. You need to get the dye that you put in your hair before professionally stripped out--and be sure to tell them your history of dying AND all of the brands of hair dye you used. If you get another bleach kit I can almost guarantee a LOT of hair is going to fall out. Basically the same thing happened to me, and had my mother not forced me to go to a professional my hair would not be as long as it is now... ha.

Hair coloring question? can u answer please?

two questions:

1. i got highlights, didnt want them, so dyed my hair my natural color. i really dont want the dye to fade and some of the highlights to come back but i know it will happen, so if i use the color oops or something like that, will it take my natural hair dye out AND the highlights out?

2. is color oops and other products that take ur dye out healthy for ur hair? or very bad?

please help me out. thank u! happy new years!!

Hair coloring question? can u answer please?

any product used to strip the color out of your hair can be damaging. its always best to let your hair grow out, but unfortunately that can take such a long time. coloring your hair and stripping your hair of that color, both can cause those little "fly away" hairs that stick up on top of your head. if you do decide to take the color out using a product, i would reccomend using a repairing leave in conditionor after for the next few weeks. good luck!

New hair color is too dark?

I colored my hair last night. I chose a slightly darker color than I've been using. My natural hair color is dark brown almost black.

I have been dying my hair a light auburn for nearly 5 years. I wanted a more brown to my hair so I chose a light golden brown

I thought it would tone down the cooper in my hair color. The color ended up almost a dark brown with a few red highlights.

How soon could I color my hair again. I'm about ready to buy a wig or a borrow one of my husband's ball caps. Thank you for any advice.

New hair color is too dark?

go to a salon trust me its all worth it

New hair color is too dark?

That is the reason most women get their hair colored at salon, they are educated in colors (its a science, when you think about it). I would say go visit your sylist she should be able to fix your hair without all the damage you would do yourself at home.

New hair color is too dark?

salon

New hair color is too dark?

Wash your hair with a strong dandruff shampoo for a few days...it will fade. Then go to the salon and let them do the rest. hair color will fade in the first week.

New hair color is too dark?

You could color your hair tomorrow night actually, its your choice. I have colored my hair at home 3 times with 2 days inbetween before.

New hair color is too dark?

Go to your stylist for help! please do not try the over the counter color removers. they are not strong enough and you probably can't get it on evenly. your hair will turn orange to chicken yellow and be blotchy. then you will have to pay your stylist 2-3 times what you would have normally paid in the first place to have it corrected. if you want to try another color try an ash, don't be scared the green will neutralize the red in the color. remember, color doesn't lift color. I'm a stylist

I've had a hair disaster! Someone please help!?

I dye my hair every 2 months or so and have been for the last year and a half. My natural hair colour is medium brown/light brown. My hair up until 3 hours ago was long and blonde.

I wanted to see what it would be like if it was my natural colour again so I bought some semi-permanent die, brown colour.

When I washed it out to my horror it turned jet black.

I want to know, if I go to a hairdresser to get it bleached and dyed professionally, will it cause any damage to my hair? This is the first time i've dyed it again since 3 months ago, and it's semi permanent, but I still think it will stain. I usually dye my hair once every 2-3 months.

Someone please help?

I've had a hair disaster! Someone please help!?

Shave your head and be a "non-racist" skinhead for awhile, and when it grows back, it'll be the natural or "default" color which you can then dye bright pink if you so desire.

Remember, tovarisch,

Bald is sexy!

I've had a hair disaster! Someone please help!?

Keep messing with it and you will either end up having to shave your head or it will fall out on it's own.

I've had a hair disaster! Someone please help!?

It will not ruin your hair, but you should purchase a good hydrating shampoo from the salon to help re-hydrate your hair. Most salon dye's are actually conditioning and good for your hair.If you try to lighten it yourself there is a great possibility it will turn orange.

My hair again.?

I know i'm asking a lot about my hair, but i need to know. Cadvadvocate you say you have curly hair and my natural hair is curly and wavey. But, my ends are still permed, should i trim the ends till it's all natural ? And you said i should put in single braids and then put 2 braids with the singles comming down to the side.

My hair again.?

Get rid of the ends for a great style of healthy natural look. One braid in the back or one braid on each side of your face is good...in style. Cute on most girls and women with long hair.

Look in the mirror and then ask your friends. They'll tell you. When you get whistles and positive remarks you know you've hit on a hair style that fits you.

In this decade, there is really no set style...each to her own thing. Be yourself...be creative. Once you've got the heads turning and whistles happening...you know you've found your style.

With longer hair there is more variation and creativity that can go into it...try to limit the chemical processing or the heated styles. Both can and will damage your hair and then your hair dresser makes more money on you.

Men like long hair...period.

I've taken the surveys...guys like women to look like women. Long and natural.

Most men don't like it short or up in the bedroom. They say they love to play in it. Out of the office...let it hang girls. Long braids or straight down...by popular demand.

Sorry hair dressers...style it long or lose the business. Hair is show and an attraction for the opposite sex.

My hair again.?

Just keep trimming it until all the permed hair is gone.

My hair again.?

i am also going natural, and i just trim my hair every two weeks or whenver it needs it until eventually all the relaxed hair is gone. i trim it so often so that it won't look tacky because of the two different textures of hair and also to prevent spilt ends. the person said you can put it in single braids while transitioning, because it's a protective style, and (for me) it helps my hair grow because you're not having to style it everyday.

here's a few transitioning tips from Motown Girl...this site is really helpful!

http://motowngirl.com/articles/transitio...

My hair again.?

yes trim it until it's all natural that's what i'm doing! and then do that with the braids that would look wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!! i trim my hair...about every two and a half weeks becuz i'm not wanting to shorten it..just get rid of the perm

My hair again.?

Sorry, can't help with hair. Mien is a mess. Like to keep it cut to what I call a 'wash and wear' length. Just not into fashion.

Hair loss - please please please help me?

I recently discovered a large balad patch, about an inch accross, on the base of my scalp. Most of it it starting to grow back, but very slowly %26amp; like stubble, there's still a small section not growing back. I've booked an appointment at the doctors as I believe its due to stress/depression.Or possible thryoid problems (I have a family history of it)

Basically I'm asking for ANY advice about what I can do to help it grow back, what treatments I should use,any supplements etc

Also I've bleached my hair since I was 14 (I'm now 19)%26amp;I was contemplating whether I should go back to my natural hair colour, as I don't want to weaken my hair futher. However after being blonde for so many years,it would be a big change for me,so I would prefer to still have it dyed slightly lighter than it is naturally (professionally) but I wonder if any dye will damage my hair?

Its very embarassing%26amp;I have to wear my hair up for work, so any help anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Hair loss - please please please help me?

The area of hair loss...is it completely slick at the scalp or are there little bits of stubble? (not the new part growing back in) If it is slick, the hair has fallen out. If it is stubble, the hair has broken off. You are doing the right thing seeing a doctor. He/she can take a look and evaluate the situation properly. Hair loss in patches is called alopecia areata. Thyroid can indeed be a major factor in hair problems. Be sure to tell your physician. If it is breakage instead of alopecia my suggestion would be to stop the bleaching. There is the possibility of whats called "overlapping" of the bleach leading to breakage. Depending on how dark your natural hair is...there are other methods of keeping your hair lighter in color. Good luck.

Hair loss - please please please help me?

Your decision to see a doctor, go back to your natural hair colour are the best advise you can get. Rogaine is also made for women. Expensive but works for many. I hope you get better soon and that your stress levels lower. Have a great year and I wish you the best.

Hair loss - please please please help me?

i have recently lost some of my hair due to chemotherapy and i am very suprised about how quickly it is growing back due to a special shampoo/conditioner combination i use. it is called Nioxin. It's not too expensive...just 15 bucks for a bottle, but make sure you get the shampoo and condition because they react with eachother. i think this stuff works great...good luck!!

Hair loss - please please please help me?

The reason of hair loss in most cases is lack of Vitamin B12 in blood, try to take a proper regime that contains it, if its so serious u can support by using special pills or ... ! But I offer you to visit the Doctor...

Wish it works Dear :)

Hair loss - please please please help me?

..well,dyeing makes hair really dry..and ya know, its also d cause of hair loss, honestly..im suffering w/ dat problem too..my mum let me use a ginseng shampoo..and conditioner,..and i stopped blow drying and using hair iron...and i stopped applying gel..etc.

Hope tis help...

Hair loss - please please please help me?

Hair loss and thinning hair have been sensitive issues for men throughout time. Recently, medical science has eventually identified the main cause of hair loss. At present, it's a known medical fact that hair loss stems from both genetic and hormonal causes. Androgenetic Alopecia or even "male pattern hair loss" is implicated in ninety five percent of hair loss cases. The key is a hormonal byproduct called DHT (dihydrotestostrone). The even more DHT that gets put into your body, the even more your hair follicles turn into thinner and finer until the hair is permanently wasted.

DHT and hair loss

DHT is 1 of many male hormones in the body. DHT is developmentally vital early in a man閳ユ獨 life; however, it appears to be a cause of hair loss as men get older. DHT shrinks the hair follicle until it no longer produces obvious hair.

Doctors believe that excess DHT is an apparent cause of hair loss The causes of hair loss aren't well defined; however, researchers have uncovered that men with male pattern hair loss have increased levels of DHT in the balding area of their scalps. Individual hair usually follows a cycle of expansion, falling out, and new expansion. However increased levels of DHT are believed to contribute to the shortening of the expansion phase and a shortening of the time it takes for the hair to fall out. This results in thinning of the hair on the scalp.

Provillus blocks DHT (dihydrotestostrone) from getting to your body, which is 1 of the major causes of hair loss. The Breakthrough formula of Provillus was designed to block DHT and supply the proper foods to your body specifically tailored to block hair loss and to help you regrow hair naturally. Strong, sound hair begins with the proper nutritional building blocks. You do not have to hold off until there's a problem to end it! Provillus supplements your body's natural supply of these vitamins and lets the tiny follicles below your scalp receive exactly what they want to manufacture beautiful, full-bodied hair.

It's a good idea to go see your doctor because patchy hair loss can be from an underlying disease or infection. My case is a typical male pattern baldness (MPB) that began in my early 20's.

Unfortunately, MPB is genetics and there's not much that can be done to stop it. But it can be slowed down. I used different products to do so beginning with Nioxin. Then I upgraded to minoxidil (same as Rogaine, but cheaper), now I'm using Hairobics. They all work, just depends on what your comfortable with.

Watch this Dateline NBC video. It reviewed 5 products and the results are encouraging. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6590766

I want platnium blonde hair?

Okay My hair is really damaged and i want to do a platinum blonde color. Well I went to a pro and he told me that my medium brown hair was so damaged that he could not go to a platinum blonde only a dark blonde and it turned orange than after that my aunt put highlights using bleach in my hair and made it a little better. She told me to come every two weeks to go have the highlights added on again. Does anyone no how I can have the platinum blonde hair color? right now my hair is a reddish blonde please help. Also Im considering shaving my hair off and waiting for it to regrow but what kind of hair can I use instead of a wig that will look like my natural hair while I wait for my real hair to grow?

I want platnium blonde hair?

If you start to pay attention you will notice that people with natural platinum blond hair (as opposed to extensions or wigs) usually have short hair that they have to be very delicate with. If your hair is a level 5 (med. brown) or darker it is done with a double process of bleaching and toning. If your natural hair is a level 6 (light brown) or lighter it can be done with an extremely "high lift" cream haircolor. For either process I would see an experienced professional. If it is an extreme look you are going for, then go for it, but you can get a pretty, flattering multi-dimensional blonde color with less damage.

I want platnium blonde hair?

well if ur hair is as bad as it sounds then i would recommend cutting it short like marilyn monroe and bleaching it, because if u have long hair and u bleach it then its gonna fall out. but if u have short hair then u can grow it out and bleach it, and repeat it over and over again. Report It

I want platnium blonde hair?

try walmart

I want platnium blonde hair?

the pro was right even the prettiest people like stars have wigs all that stuff but u have to pay a good price to get it nd keep it up

I want platnium blonde hair?

i had balck hair, and now my hair is platnuim.... well, first you have to srip your hari (which WILL make your hair look a little orange) then you bleach it. when you bleach it, leave it for a couple of days, then go and get platnuim... it will be easy becasue your hair is already light enoguh, and it would be easy... then get shampoo that will repair your ahir...

i use Loreal, i especially love it because it makes my hair smooth so i can starighten curl ECT. it has the best scent..Plus, all my other scene friends love it!!

Hair Check!!?

Okay my natural hair is wavy/curly and COMPLETELY frizzy. I used to be a beach blonde, but now my hair is growing brown. I want to chemically straighten it AND dye my hair blonde. My grandma did it when she was young (except with perms) and her hair was okay, just a little damaged. Is it okay to do or will my hair melt?!?!?!?! Help me!

Hair Check!!?

Well here is what I would do. Do which ever one you want more first. Ie: if you want to be blonde more, do the blonde first. Then after a couple of weeks, go to a local salon and have them cut a tiny piece of your hair out and put the chemical straightener on it. See how it reacts with the colored hair. This is the best way to see how dry/fried your hair will react.

Hair Check!!?

See a professional. Do not attempt to do this yourself. If you see a professional and you use the correcty products that they suggest, your hair should be fine.

Hair Check!!?

ok your hair wont melt! you are not barbie! but if your hair is going brown color it if you want. dont go too light tho cuz your hair will turn orange! i have seen that happen! it was horrible! and chemically straightening your hair is fine. but make sure you dont do it too often! good luck

Hair Check!!?

what vanity...burn it up....melt it down...you asked...i answered...good luck

Hair Check!!?

go do it. i had the same sitchuation (cept the blonde part) and my hair is perfectly fine, and even if it does get damaged with the colouring its not going to be THAT bad and it'll grow out

Hair Check!!?

No your hair won't melt but, I would get a flat iron it's a lot safer as for dying your hair your self it should be ok just get a good product. Good luck!.

I got my hair relaxed in September and now I keep thinking I should wash it but I don't want to

if I got my hair relaxed in September should I wash it now? I really don't want to get it wet because I am afraid that will get messed up, but it looks like some of my natural hair is starting to grow back. But I just don't want the relaxed hair to get messed up because I paid $55 to get it done. I also got my hair cut a little and I know from experience that if my hair is short and dried out that it will be a mess and all over the place. I am afraid that if I get my hair wet the effects of the relaxer will be lost and my hair will go back to being a short frizzy poof. So would it really hurt if I wash my hair now? Like will washing it dry it up and make it look frizzy? Also, any tips for how/when I should wash it or anything I can do to maintain it?

I got my hair relaxed in September and now I keep thinking I should wash it but I don't want to get it wet

i take it you're African American I go through this all the time. Wash your hair I know 4 a fact your hair will get frizzy again. When u wash it comb it out after shampooing and rinsing the conditioner out. Then braid it up so it can naturaly dry or if u want to speed it up sit under a dryer or blow dry without the comb. Then when your hair is dry u should flat iron it you can bye them At Walmart actually just about anywhere. Your hair will look just as good as how it was in September if your natural hair is growing back then thats a sign that u need another relaxer never let that natural hair exceed 1 inch if u want another relaxer because that will make it harder to get a relaxer it will burn because u have to sit there 4 a while. Wash your hair with "Pantene for Women of color" buy the shampoo and conditioner wash hair when ever you feel that their is an oil or grease buil up to mainmtain it wrap your hair every night by combing half your hair to the front then wrapping it around your head use booby pins to keep it in place use a hair scarf to cover hair do all these steps and your hair will look great

I got my hair relaxed in September and now I keep thinking I should wash it but I don't want to get it wet

WASH IT!!! I couldnt even imagine not washing my hair for a week let alone 3 months.

I got my hair relaxed in September and now I keep thinking I should wash it but I don't want to get it wet

Wow, go ahead and wash your hair! Three months might be OK if you live in a desert, without any water around.

I got my hair relaxed in September and now I keep thinking I should wash it but I don't want to get it wet

Yes u can wash it . wash then blow dry. You will be fine

I got my hair relaxed in September and now I keep thinking I should wash it but I don't want to get it wet

So it was $55 and you treated yourself in September. It's now December. So that's less than $1 a day you spent for it if you think about it in terms of how long you've had it. So go ahead and wash your hair!

I got my hair relaxed in September and now I keep thinking I should wash it but I don't want to get it wet

girl that's the craziest thing i ever heard!no one shud go 3 months without washing their hair! (unless ur locking i guess) a relaxer (also known as a perm) is PERMANENT getting it wet will not deactivate the results contrary to popular belief... the roots are growing out natural so u are going to have to get the relaxer touched up... u r probably hurting ur hair more than helping it by not washing it... u probably have ridiculus amount of build up... and it probably stinks... so wash it, blow dry it u may have to straighten it a bit, or wrap it... but if u can't manage ur hair while it's relaxed maybe u shud go back natural... if u keep this up u gonna look a hot sh*tty mess.... and p.s. there is nothing wrong with having natural hair (a short frizzy poof as u called it) u were born with it... obviously it's not a mistake

I got my hair relaxed in September and now I keep thinking I should wash it but I don't want to get it wet

Just go to the salon and have them wash it and touch up the roots!

I got my hair relaxed in September and now I keep thinking I should wash it but I don't want to get it wet

You haven't washed your hair for three months?! Wash your hair!

I got my hair relaxed in September and now I keep thinking I should wash it but I don't want to get it wet

Why haven't you washed your hair yet? If you have a relaxer put in you could of started washing your hair a week after you had it done. If your relaxer is ruined after washing it, something is wrong with the relaxer. It's almost time for a touch up on the roots only. No your hair will not become frizzy after washing it. A relaxer relaxes the curl pattern so that means your hair will be straigh and stay straight. You need to add a hair dressing to your hair every week any way to stop if from becoming dry, brittle and damage.

I got my hair relaxed in September and now I keep thinking I should wash it but I don't want to get it wet

the relaxer may be the cause of your brittleness. if you are not going to take care of your hair. i mean be serious about it. then a relaxer will definitely screw you. wash your hair please. i am surprised you didn't mention a funk that follows you around wherever you go. that is majorly nasty and you are risking an infection. it is not that serious to preserve a style or a chemical.

after 3 months you are due for a touch up. 55.00 is not that much money to go this long without washing your hair. also when you go to get your touch up. ask for a trim. get rid of those bad dry ends. they are doing you no good.

I got my hair relaxed in September and now I keep thinking I should wash it but I don't want to get it wet

I bet its all dirty, full of dandruff, flakes, and everything else..

WASH YOUR HAIR.. immediately.. condition it.. blow dry it, and then flat iron it..

There's no excuse for not washing your hair since september..

Perhaps you can't afford to go back to the salon for a professional wash, blow, and curl every 2 - 3 or even 4 weeks.. but since SEPTEMBER.. hott damn.

Ask your stylist to show you how to do home care inbetween touch ups..

To help my hair to heal, shouldn't I just leave it alone?

I have about 1/2" of new growth... my hair is naturally shiny and healthy. But in the past, I have relaxed my hair so the rest of my hair looks pretty....dead and fried. I was thinking about just letting my hair loose and allowing my hair to take care of itself. Cutting off my hair is a no-no according to my mother (I am still 17... so I can't cut it until I am 18).

Suggestions?

P.S. My natural hair is wavy... but the relaxed hair is straight... wouldn't that looked weird?

To help my hair to heal, shouldn't I just leave it alone?

I think you should just let your hair grow out.

But if you don't like how its gonna look (because of the wavy and straight thing, then just use a flatiron. I know it sounds like it'll do more damage, but at least you wont have to have that weird look going on)

But in the mean time you can use Joico K-Pak.

The shampoo.

The condioner.

And the deep penetrating reconstructer.

Its very strong stuff though, so don't use too much of it at a time.

Also, Pantene is really good to get it soft and silky.

But nothing is better than the VO5 Hot Oil Treatment.

Home remedies...

Put olive oil, mayo, or baby lotion (preferabbly Johnsons) on your hair and keep it in over night.

To help my hair to heal, shouldn't I just leave it alone?

I don't really understand your question. But, yes, if your hair is currently damaged, the best solution for it would be to just to stop putting chemicals into it, except for shampoo and conditioner. Some big brands have stuff called ''for repairing damaged hair'' but all it is is more chemicals.

To help my hair to heal, shouldn't I just leave it alone?

Start going to the salon every 2 weeks for them to get you through this stage - let them know you don't want any chemicals or heat on it for a while and see if they have any suggestions...

Straitening Hair?

I have chemically straitened hair, my hair is naturally thick, somewhat healthy, and very very strong. The dark side of this is that my natural hair is growing out and it's very curly, at this point all it is doing is adding volume (which I absolutely hate) and on days I want perfectly straight hair I have to go and straighten almost every piece to reduce volume, (and this takes about 2.5 hours with a bunch of products, a ceramic hair straightener, a brush, and a blow dryer) I have short lower jaw lengthened hair, this makes straitening the back a challenge (also, getting it cut or thinned is not an option, I very recently got that done).

So I am looking for a product that can help me get something that looks like this:

http://i13.tinypic.com/2uh4vhj.gif

To go as close as it can to this (and shorten the process):

http://i16.tinypic.com/4cnm05j.jpg

Any suggestions?

Straitening Hair?

Use pantene smooth and sleek or pantene extra liso. use fantasia frizz buster. mabye get a new iron like FHI or Paul Mitchell. Also ask a black salon they should help you.

Straitening Hair?

Go to the salon and tell them your problem. They'll probably give you a product to help and show you how to do your hair like that better. And maybe straigten your hair so it stays like that for a while.

My black hair dye won't come out?

Well, I dyed my hair in June 2007, eight months ago, and my semi-permanent black hair-dye hasn't washed out. I went through a craze-faze of washing my hair twice a day and using the strongest, nastiest shampoos to make it come out. My natural hair is a very light shade of honey-blonde, and my friends say maybe because my hair is so light it absorbed it bad-assly. My mother went to a hair-salon about five months ago, and asked what was to be done. She said to not try and bleach/dye my hair, to not strip of the dye or apply any chemical. She said to wash it out, and go out in the sun. But, I followed her instructions and it hasn't lightened in the slightest, only my roots are visable now. I really do need to get rid of it, because I'm moving schools and they have a strict NO DYE, NO PIERCINGS AND NO BOYS policy. I am considering having it stripped out, but I seriously want to know if it does immense damage?

My black hair dye won't come out?

Black semi-permanent dye is effectively a permanent dye. I dyed my hair black last year and my hair didn't return to its natural colour until I'd cut all the dyed hair off.

It's not going to come out completely no matter how much you try stripping it with strong shampoos, and in fact you'll only damage your hair by constantly subjecting it to such harsh treatment.

I suppose you could go to the hairdresser and see if they can strip your hair and dye it back to a colour close to your natural one, so regrowth isn't so obvious. Your hair condition won't be great, but it's either that or cut it off and wait for it to regrow.

My black hair dye won't come out?

Try head and shoulders shampoo, i have heard that it helps to strip the colour from hair.

My black hair dye won't come out?

well if you want to try it I know that if you buy a home perm that will strip it out ???

you just put the stuff on dont actually put the rollers in..

and then get it cut really short to help it renew its strength.

By the way that school sounds scary

My black hair dye won't come out?

Even if you strip it, you may still have to color it afterwards.

My black hair dye won't come out?

Try a shampoo called Metallex. It's just like a strong shampoo. Try it alone or with developer. Follow the directions carefully. Good luck!

My black hair dye won't come out?

Go buy color oops at your local rite aid or longs drugs. It will strip the color out with out damaging you hair! i used to 3 times in like a week and didnt damage my hair at all!

My black hair dye won't come out?

I dyed my hair black in August 06 and kept dying it black till May 07 when i decided to go bk to my natural colour brown.

My hairdresser Bleached my hair, then after she had bleached it, she put a brown dye over it.

It didn't get very dry and i just made sure it left condtioner in everyday for a week and it was fine.

Do you like your hair black, cuz if you do, the school doesnt have to know youve dyed it.

Curly hair help me pleaseeeeeeeeee so desperate?

ha ha i loved the pics... they helped!! i have curly hair too! if you like the way your hair looks straightened, take a shower right away when you get home and wash your hair and stuff, then let it dry overnight and the next morning it should be mostly dry and you can spary in (A LITTLE) Herbal Essence shine spray and that helps the frizz allot! then if you just blow dry it when you have some protectant spray, it will be soooo.... much easyer to straighten in the morning. then use rub oneof those dryer sheets (the ones you put in the dryer so your clothes arent staticy) all over your head!!

Curly hair help me pleaseeeeeeeeee so desperate?

Try:

A) cleansing and reconstructing shampoos.

http://www.paulmitchell.com/Products/Tea...

B)A good deep conditioner.

Curly hair help me pleaseeeeeeeeee so desperate?

First, I know just how you feel. I too once felt cursed with curly frizzy hair and i worried about how popular straight hair has become, but as i straightened my hair more and more it became more and more damaged and now alot of the curl isn't even there anymore. Now I realize that the curl was part of my personality and people say i look better with curly hair anyways. I recommend that you try a couple of different shampoos. Natural kinds might help you return to a less damaged version of your hair and once it's healthier you could try some curl defining products. Try blending your bangs into the rest of your hair for a little less work. It's easier to wear curls that way anyhow.

Curly hair help me pleaseeeeeeeeee so desperate?

WELL 1ST OF ALL I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND BECAUSE I HAVE SUPER CURLY HAIR. I USE TO STRAIGHTEN IT OFTEN AND I ENDED UP HAVING TO CUT MY HAIR SHORT BECAUSE IT WAS SO DAMAGED. I RECOMMEND YOU USE ALOT OF VITAMINS AND CONDITIONER TO HELP WITH THE FRIZZ AND IF YOU HAVE SPLIT ENDS YOU SHOULD REALLY CUT THEM.

OH YEAH AND TRY NOT TO PUT ANY CHEMICALS IN YOUR HAIR LIKE GEL OR HAIR SPRAY BECAUSE THE ALCOHOL DAMAGES YOUR HAIR.

Curly hair help me pleaseeeeeeeeee so desperate?

First of all only one of your links worked. But from what I gather you have naturally curly hair and you have been using a flat iron to straighten it. In order to straighten hair that curly you have to get the iron pretty hot. You are frying your hair. It is breaking out really bad I'm sure. If you don't stop using the flat iron you won't have any to worry about. That is the reason it is so frizzy, IT IS DAMAGED!

Now, the solution. Stop using the flat iron for a while and give your hair a chance to recover. Go to the nearest place that has Nexxus products. Wal-Mart carries this now. Get a conditioner called emergency. Use this product on your hair every other day for about two weeks. Put a plastic cap on your hair and sit under a dryer for about twenty minutes. Don't wash your hair every day. You can wet it to tame it without using shampoo. Just wet it and put a detangler on it. Good detangler is Nexxus Ensure. Use one of the curl activators to tame your curls and let your hair dry natural for a while until it recovers. A good leave in conditioner is Infusium which you can get from Wal-Mart also. Also once a month deep moisturizing conditioners under a dryer will help too.

Take care of your hair a while. Then get a straightener from Sally beauty supply. You can just put it in your hair long enough to remove a little of the curl to make it more manageble. That way when new hair growth comes in you don't notice it. Plus it won't be that damaging to your hair. Follow the directions exactly in the package. It is extremely important to rinse the activator completely out before putting the neutralizer on your hair. If not you could cause a bad chemical reaction in your hair and cause it to break out like crazy. It is easy to do it yourself if you follow the directions carefully. But get your hair in good shape first.

Curly hair help me pleaseeeeeeeeee so desperate?

You have really curly hair so I'm not sure to what extent this will work but here's a few tips:

1. To combat frizz, don't wash your hair too often because it will become dry. 2 or 3 times a week max. Comb the hair before washing to get rid of knots. Be gentle while scrubbing to avoid tangles.

2. Shampoo: Don't go against nature! If your hair is curly, use a shampoo for curly hair - this will provide the extra moisture curly hair needs to be healthy. Don't use one to make it "sleek and straight" as it will result in frizzy hair. Do use a conditioner for your type of hair too. For curly/wavy hair, try Redken's Fresh Curls. It's really good.

3. Leave-in treatment: a couple products that are fantastic; they tame my wild frizzy mane like you wouldn't believe: FHI Heat Hot Sauce and CHI Silk Infusion. Use little as these products are very rich and thick. Apply on damp towel-dried hair.

4. Drying: don't comb your hair if it doesn't need to be, especially for curly hair. This will allow the natural curls to re-form and avoid frizz. It is always good to apply some heat to your hair to loosen the curls. Naturally dry your hair 50%. Then use a blowdryer (lowest heat and fan so as not to break your curl patterns; don't use a brush either) and run your fingers through your hair until 80% dry. Finish off by tousling your hair in sections with some wax or serum to define the curls and seal in some more moisture. Tie up your hair until it is completely dry. If your hair is curly AND coarse, don't apply any heat - use a holding mousse on damp hair instead and define the curls with your fingers. Allow them to set until your hair is completely dry.

5. Bangs: use a bristle brush and hairdryer to straighten them. Use serum and an iron as necessary to achieve the desired look. A light mist of hair spray will keep the bangs staying straight.

6. Maintaining the style: don't comb your hair until the next wash if possible (or use a wide-toothed comb if necessary). Wrap and tie your hair when you go to bed. Use a silk bandana as well - this will reduce friction on your pillow and keep frizz away. Use a shower cap when showering.

Good luck! :)

Curly hair help me pleaseeeeeeeeee so desperate?

Go to a store that sells hair products for black women. There is a spray that comes in a brown bottle called Sta-Sof-Fro Hair and Scalp Spray. My daughter has very curly hair and it can get super frizzy. This product works better than anything else Ive ever used and it doesnt take much. Just after you wash and towel dry your hair, spray it all through your hair and pick it out. It works great.

African American Hair Growth!!!?

Hi, I am an African American woman. I wear mostly braids and get perms atleast twice a year. From the braids, my hair appears to grow, and grow soooo fast. But when I wear my real natural hair, my hair falls out. I don't know how to take care of my hair because I always wear braids. My hair is not EXTREMELY KINKY, but its thick and very frizzy. Kinda soft when I grease it. What I would like to know is how do I get my African American hair to grow? ( I've heard all the myths and other bull about African American hair growth (: )

African American Hair Growth!!!?

the braids are making your natural weak so what you need to do is stop wearing the braids for a whil eand allow you hair to breath a bit and use plenty moist and a good conditioner, but what u also need to remember is that ur hair shed 75-150 a day and even tho you have braids you hair still sheds and when youtake out the braids u loose allthe sheded hair but agian use a very good moisture cream and tha will help...........................Good Luck

African American Hair Growth!!!?

the more you mess with yer hair...the more messed up it gets! leave it alone..natural, get trims here n there....n it will be fine. we overwork our hair to death. it seems like it takes forever to fix...but u gotta leave it alone n let nature take its course!

African American Hair Growth!!!?

massage your scalp that way you can allow blood to flow and nourish the roots, do this for 5 mins even research it on the net and you would see it works.

African American Hair Growth!!!?

dont brush ur hair..at all!!!..

only comb it when wet

use plenty of moisturizer

when ur hair is not in braids try to wear protective styles like twists or buns,,

Here is a link that WILL help you out.

African American Hair Growth!!!?

lay off the braids and try olive oil and pure honey mix that up and and put it on ur hair after u wash it for like 30 mins then rinse thoroughly.2ce a month . that's wat i do and it helps. i go through the same thing.

African American Hair Growth!!!?

I think that going from braids to relaxers can be stressful, u also mentioned that "when u wear your real natural hair" so im not sure if this is a third presentation of yr hair or u are referring to when u just dont have the braids in. if u are going from "natural" (fro-like) to briads to perms, thats a lot of stress and yr hair cld be reacting to that by breaking off.

secondly, im not sure that relaxing "at least twice a year" is the right thing to do because the hair grows slighly each month, the relaxer straightens the hair and the new growth coming in wld be in your natural texture...the point at which these two hair textures meet (straightened relaxed hair meets the natural kink or curl of your birth hair) would cause weakness at that point...to my knowledge hair should be relaxed about every 4 weeks or so, depending upon the individual..but going too much more that wld cause breakage

also, braids cannot be tight or there will be hair loss due to the pulling/tightening sensation...while braids can be healthy and growth inducing, too tight braids are not doing a service to you at all.

i would have to say to do what u can to put less stress on your hair..if u really have to relax it (or just want to) use the least harsh, but effective relaxer you can find....however i find that women who wear braids AND relax their hair have thinner, weaker hair...to compensate for this, you have to vigilant about keeping it moisturized....a routine wld involve shampooing with a moisturizing shampoo (do not use ones with alcohol or sulfates as first ingredient as these wld be drying, leading to breakage), deep condition/hot oil treatment weekly, for daily styling use a leave in conditioner or leave in conditioning pomade---do not block the scalp ducts with heavy greases (i.e. petroleum jelly does not belong on most of our scalps)

the best look, the healthiest hair, the simplest care, the strongest, longest hair ive seen has been natural (un-relaxed) hair...even when natural hair is braided, i do not see the thinning that i see in those with relaxed hair.

dreadlocks may or may not be an option for you, but its amazing how fast the hair seems to grow with them, thats becuase the hair that we normally shed is trapped within the lock, adding to the length of it...

African American Hair Growth!!!?

limit the amount of time your hair is braided and allow it to breath for at least a week between the braids. You should see a professional to start out with a good hair care regimine, at least for 2 months, twice a month. And then you can cut back to once every two months to have your ends trimmed.

So at home remedies are:

try a good moisturizing shampoo

a good deep conditioner or leave in conditioner

hot oil treatments

and keep your scalp oiled, at least every other night

nightly scalp massages also help

African American Hair Growth!!!?

You asked: "How do I get my African American hair to grow?"

Simple - keep getting braids and stop perming your hair. I'm assuming you have a good braider that is not contributing to hair thinning / loss by braiding too tightly.

Trim your ends between each set of braids until the perm is completely gone. When all the perm is gone, you can get your natural hair braided without the added hair.

If you're willing to consider locs, look into Bradelocz. This is basically putting braids in your hair once and never taking them out - allowing them to loc.

http://www.herspecialhair.com/sitesandpa...

Also, think about Sisterlocks. They are created with a method similar to braiding, but are typically very small in diameter.

http://www.sisterlocks.com

If you like the look of braids, wear them all the time, and want something relatively low maintenance, Bradelocz or Sisterlocks may be the answer you're looking for. Without actually seeing your scalp and knowing whether or not you have any special circumstances, I can almost guarantee your natural real hair will grow as long as you want with either method.

Hope this helps, Kaya

Hair coloring and highlights.?

hi, last month, i colored my hair brown, with golden brown highlights. but i want to change it back to my natural hair color (which is black) and put white highlights on it. so that means, i have to color my hair again in order to turn it into black, right?? my question is, could this be bad for my hair? -- coloring a hair again that was previously colored?

Hair coloring and highlights.?

It is possible that constant coloring treatments would damage the hair, but if you want to change it back to black, then use a gentle hair color and definitely wait for the white highlights--at least a few months, because that could really wreck the hair. It might also be wise to get a trim after you dye your hair back to black. Most stylists and people with enough experience advise others not to color over recently or previously colored hair because it could come out not exactly how you wanted it. The best thing to do would be to consult a stylist, though. I've colored over previously colored hair and it turned out fine, so if you want to go ahead and do that, then do so at your own risk. Good luck.

Hair coloring and highlights.?

no it should be fine

Goodluck鈾?br>Hair coloring and highlights.?

No worries dear :)

I've done it dozens of times. Just make sure you use a conditioner to rehydrate.

:) 鈾esse鈾?br>Hair coloring and highlights.?

I've colored my hair about 12 times (no joke) and i've had it so many different colors. Including the color you are talking about now. Then I died it to a dark brown(which turned out to be black) so dont worry. But I wouldn't go by what the boxes say, get it done proffesionally, it may cost more, but it will turn out better. Krista

Straight 2 wavy hair?

i have really straight hair, boring, thin, yuck. i want it wavy. my hair is about 5 or 6 inches past my shoulders. please don't tell me 2 us hairspray after using curlers. i don't like hairspray, i want just my natural hair without any type of hair stuff in it. maybe gel, depends, i want my hair soft and without that feeling of something used in it. i've used curlers b4, and they either give me super CURLY hair or they come out easy, or barely wave. they don't do anything right. does some1 have any suggestions on what i could do 2 wave my hair and keep it that way all day.

i want 2 do this process the night b4, not necessarily in the morning. i get up very early and get ready 4 school, so i barely have time 4 this stuff and have 2 suffer with my awful hair throughout the day.

Straight 2 wavy hair?

try braids, or just a normal messy bun with damp hair, or sea salt in a spray bottle with water. it works. good luck!

Straight 2 wavy hair?

uummm use a curling shampoo!, probably herbal essences totally twisted, I mean i have curly hair but it makes it REALLY curly! so use that, also use the scrunching gel! I think it would work. There is a mousse kind and a gel kind! so that's all i can think of! if you don't want to use Herbal Essences for some reason, then use Pantene Hydrating curls and it's styling collection(i don't know them) sorry!

I hope this helps

Straight 2 wavy hair?

My friend told me this amazing technique. Take moose and scrunch your hair the way you want it. Then take Root Pumper, and apply that to your roots and scrunch your hair up, and then hairspray it, and then blow dry it. Then add some more hairspray. They make some really light hairsprays that dont make your hair and stiff and it looks great.

Are two or more dyed colors in your hair ugly?

Sure it is! Man-made hair color is absolutely discusting when comparing it to natural hair color! I would love to shoot the guy who has convinced women that this Red base-blonde highlight thing is beautiful. There are millions of women going around with bad hair and an attitude because of this!! People, let your natural hair return! You'll love it, I promise!

What do you think? Dyed hair or Natural hair?

(hiding gray is another issue--that's OK)

Are two or more dyed colors in your hair ugly?

it depends on the color of your hair at first and also what color your eyes are, but for the most part i do like dyed hair

Are two or more dyed colors in your hair ugly?

NATURAL HAIR!!!!!!!

If you dye your hair too much, it gets fragile and splits.

BAD!!!!

Are two or more dyed colors in your hair ugly?

i have dyed hair and i love it there are the cases that you have to ask yourself why they did that to there hair but i get my hair done every 3-4 months and my hairdresser does a great job i do it to be unique

Are two or more dyed colors in your hair ugly?

Simple answer:

YES! Ask yourself, "Was I born with more than one hair color?" More often than not the answer will be no.

Color. Fine. But not more than one.

Wanting to get two-toned hair... do these colors match?

Ok so i dyed my hair a few months ago and it is a lightr color than my natural hair. now my natural hair is growing back in so u can see my roots. But i dont want to dye my whole head again because i have done it one too many times in the last year and im afirad my hair is going to get really damaged. But i really want a change-- I want to color the underneath part of my hair a different color to create the 'two-tone effect'.

This is the color of all of my hair now--

http://www.stuff4beauty.com/pics/SO5A.JP...

and this is the color i was thinking of getting for the underneath part-

http://www.garnierusa.com/img/our_produc...

what do u think?

should i go for the two-tone look?

or should i not since my roots are showing?

Wanting to get two-toned hair... do these colors match?

girl, if you want to have two toned hair you gota do it with two different colores so that you can see the underpart. make it black ubderneath and light brown on top. or get ur hair dark brown with lighter lightlints! gud luck!

Wanting to get two-toned hair... do these colors match?

yeah sure they do. no major difference though.

Wanting to get two-toned hair... do these colors match?

i love the two tone look... i am going to go blone on top and brown underneath myself... i personally like the second color ( the darkest one)... go for it!

Makeup, hair and general beauty tips? Pictures included.?

Hi there, I'm going back to school tomorrow and want to look good. Here are two pictures of me front-on:

http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147...

Please don't say eyebrows lol, i am working on those and getting them done next week :)

Those photos are me completely natural, my natural hair wavieness (not straightened) (not the colour - that is highlighted), and my natural face.

I thought people could judge better on natural pictures instead of ones with makeup on (i only wear foundation and mascara about once a week)

Thankyou! :)

Your beautiful! and natural.

Makeup, hair and general beauty tips? Pictures included.?

really depends on what look youre going for...if youre going for sultry/sexy id do eyeliner and mascara, a smudged eyeshadow color, and blush. remember: with makeup for school, the less you can use to bring out your features, the better. dont use it to cover faults (except spots, of course) use it to bring out good stuff! and youve def. got a good "look' to work with =)

Makeup, hair and general beauty tips? Pictures included.?

You don't look too old so I will tell you some tips for your age. First apply a little foundation to even out your skin. Lightly, though, not too much. Do a light blush and mascara on the top and bottom lashes. Chapstick or clear lipgloss is perfect. If you want you can do some eyeshadow. I would suggest brown tones. Light on top, darker on bottom.

For hair, you can straighten it if you want or leave it wavy. I personally like a messy bun with a little hair still left down. And a headband if you want.

Makeup, hair and general beauty tips? Pictures included.?

hi! im erica!

you should first of all straighten ur hair. and btw i luv ur hair color in that picture. its cute!

you should wear foundation but not much. wat i do is get a paper towel and get it slightly damp. then i put the stuff on the paper towel (about a dime size) and dab the makeup where i want it and rub it in. if u use powder than do watever it is u do. and i say wear some blush.

i think you should wear mascara and curl ur lashes if you have an eyelash curler.

put on some lipgloss and maybe find a cute headband to wear and good luck going back to school! email me!

Makeup, hair and general beauty tips? Pictures included.?

a shimmery pink/light brown/peach shadow with mascara on upper and lower lashes with a natural lip gloss.. also blush and foundation if needed... you have a natural beauty tho so dont pile on the makeup, leave it more simple.

Hair Style?

I'm planning on coloring my hair then styling it, i have dirty blond hair with natural red highlights (the scottish and irish) and i was just wondering, would a light blond (highlights) look good with my natural hair color or would another color look better? I'm also planning on either getting it layered too, any tips? THANX!

Hair Style?

I think that the highlights would look good and natural in your hair. As for the layers, be careful: the last time I got layers and my hair started growing out, it made me look like I've got a mullet.

Hair Style?

sure i think blonde highlights would look nice are you coloring yourself ?are you going to a stylist?i love my hair layered but it dependson your hairs texture if you need layers and just how much good luck !

Hair Style?

I think honey blond would go great with your natural color because it will highlight your face and layer would be great also because your hair would have a lot of body and texture to you hair and it will bring on a new look for you

Hair Style?

Use hairstyles software before getting it done. It will avoid surprises.

Hair crisis! Please help me - especially all hair experts! (RE Hair colouring crisis)?

For weeks I've been contemplating putting a darker shade of brown in my hair. My friends tried to convince me it was a bad idea, telling me my natural hair colour was lovely. Of course, I didn't listen! About two hours ago, I put a semi-permanent dye in my hair. (L'oreal Casting - Ebony) I wanted it only a shade darker and for it to look extremely dark brown, but NOT black. The box said 'Darkest Brown', so this seemed perfect and I put in it.

Inevitably, I HATE it! It turned out BLACK - and not even a pretty black, the fake looking goth/emo black. It says it lasts for 24 washes. I have washed it 10 times with a clarifying shampo. In order to prevent irreversible damage, I have been conditioning after every third wash.

The black colour still hasn't faded even a little bit! I want my old, dark brown colour back! Is there any other way to lighten it a little quicker? PLEASE HELP!

PS: Sorry for this long winded question!

Hair crisis! Please help me - especially all hair experts! (RE Hair colouring crisis)?

I'm a hairstylist and I suggest first try doing a soap cap with some shampoo and baking soda. Sometimes this will lift some of the color out. There's nothing you can do to get all the hair color out . You could also try putting a deep conditioner on your hair cover it with a plastic shower cap and apply heat with your hair dryer for 10-20 minutes then wash it out while it's still hot and this will allow the hair cuticle to be raised and that may allow some of the color to wash out. If not find someone who uses Pravana color extractor or Igora Color corrector, these two do less damage when correcting color. Hope this helps!!

Hair crisis! Please help me - especially all hair experts! (RE Hair colouring crisis)?

Go to a hair expert or a hair salon with a hair professional.

Hair crisis! Please help me - especially all hair experts! (RE Hair colouring crisis)?

ur best bet (even though probably expensive) is to go to a salon and have them correct it. DO NOT try to dye it again urself in an attempt to lighten it...i saw someone try to do that and her hair came out orange...traffic cone is not a good look on anyone!! keep using the clarifying shampoo until u are able to get an appointment. when u call to make an appointment ask if there is anything u can do at home to lighten it up in the meantime. explain about the clarifying shampoo and see what else they suggest. another option is to call the number on the back of the box and ask them what to do..im sure they have heard it before! good luck and im sorry about ur hair

Hair crisis! Please help me - especially all hair experts! (RE Hair colouring crisis)?

I suggest going to a salon and saying hey look i did this can you fix it? im sure that a trained perfessional can come up with something but it wont be cheap black hair is usually the most difficult in the dying process.

OR

You can just ride it out, they mean that it is good for 24 days i.e you wash yout hair once a day, and i think that once it fades out you'll get that deep brown you were talking about. I say save your money and hold your breath.

Hair crisis! Please help me - especially all hair experts! (RE Hair colouring crisis)?

You will have to go to a salon and have your hair lightened. When you dye your hair you can't actually lighten it, you can only darken it. A salon has to do a special treatment to actually lighten hair. Your best bet is to def. go to visit the salon!

Hair crisis! Please help me - especially all hair experts! (RE Hair colouring crisis)?

short of going to a salon and paying at least $200?

dawn dishwashing detergent and baking soda; leave on your hair and cover with plastic (for heat) for at least 1/2 hour.comb thru. rinse well (like under the tub faucet and then in the pool); towel dry and apply conditioner; leave conditioner in the rest of the day. rinse at night.

Hair crisis! Please help me - especially all hair experts! (RE Hair colouring crisis)?

I'm a hairstylist/colorist, and you can lighten it yourself. Try washing your hair with Tide liquid detergent....I know that sounds crazy, but many stylist use it to lighten colors when clients have done...what you've done.

Hair Color Disasters: How To Recover

http://geethabeautytips.blogspot.com/200...

Does black hair coloring actually make your hair turn dark blue?

I am only 17 and my hair is already turning a little white. My natural hair color is black as night, so it realllllly sticks out! I wanted to dye it for special occasions like prom.

But my friend said that if you use solid black color, your hair can turn blue!? this was from her dad's experiences.

She said to use dark dark brown color, but my hair is solidly black and I only have a total of about 20 white hairs!

IS WHAT SHE SAID TRUE? Is there anything else a 1st time hair dyer should know? Thanks!

Does black hair coloring actually make your hair turn dark blue?

It could if you use a black hair dye that has blue in the base. Not all black dye has a blue base though. You could get natural black, not blue black. Get the dye at a beauty supply store. It will say right on the bottle what the base color is. Good luck

Does black hair coloring actually make your hair turn dark blue?

Your welcome. I hope your hair turns out nice. Report It

Does black hair coloring actually make your hair turn dark blue?

it might tint it bllue and semi-perminant brands are more likly to do that

Does black hair coloring actually make your hair turn dark blue?

get just for men black hair dye...it takes 5 min .

it is in the grocery stores.

no it will not turn your hair blue if u shake the bottle real well before applying

Does black hair coloring actually make your hair turn dark blue?

are he kidding with u what dark blue

just ask people who are specialistes on that dont ask anyone

just make it brown it will be cool

Does black hair coloring actually make your hair turn dark blue?

it is not gonna turn blue if u buy jet black..if u buy blue black then it gonna look a little blue in the sun

Does black hair coloring actually make your hair turn dark blue?

It depends on your original hair colour and the die

Does black hair coloring actually make your hair turn dark blue?

it depends on what the base of that color is .

Does black hair coloring actually make your hair turn dark blue?

Especially because you are a first time hair dyer, I would highly reccomend going to a salon and getting your hair professionally done..

However, at home hair colors are offered in a wide array of shades, even for just black. Some black dye actually shines a very dark blue in light, but it usually will mention that affect on the box...

Hope that helps =)

Does black hair coloring actually make your hair turn dark blue?

"True" black hair will actually have a slight blue tint to it. Most hair that looks black is actually a VERY dark brown. Even though your hair looks jet black, it probably isn't. Look at it under a light--if there's a subtle blue sheen to it, it's a true black--if not, sorry--you've got dark brown hair. A safe bet would be a "natural" black dye, rather than a jet black (jet contains blue).

Does black hair coloring actually make your hair turn dark blue?

no

Does black hair coloring actually make your hair turn dark blue?

nop. hair colouring could be your hair disaster.

Does black hair coloring actually make your hair turn dark blue?

NO.....................!

Help! Dyed hair?

I dyed my hair over a year ago, almost two years ago, and it had a red tint in it. Well my mother has red hair, so unfortunately it still hasn't grown all the way out. Ive died it a couple of times, but the color never lasts more than a week and the red is showing again. The stylist has used permanent hair color, ash, and all that. Does anyone know how I can get my reddish hair brown again?

And am I right to think that because my mother has red hair, it has made it harder to get rid of the red in my hair?

I was thinking maybe bleaching it, and then dying it brown. Would that work?

Also!, my natural hair color is Dark blonde/light brown. Right in the middle.

Help! Dyed hair?

Red is the hardest color to get out of hair... The hardest.... What u need to do is have the hairstylist go a level to a level and 1/2 darker then what u want..

If u went lighter with your color when u colored it 2 yrs ago then what u did is stripped out some of that pigment in it.

Your hair right now is like a sponge wrapped in syran wrap.. And what we need to do is get that syran wrap off of there.

If u were at my salon I would suggest a double color process. What that is, Is you go over it once with permanent then back over it with semi permanent.. This acts like a really good filler for the hair ( like a bottom coat of nail polish) so It helps the color stick in there better. So I would ask them about that. Also it is not worse for your hair because the second one is semi permanent. If u notice within 2 weeks after getting any color service done that it has faded call the salon and get a redo. .They will do it for free that way u are not paying, But make sure it is within 2 weeks.

It would probley be better for u to go a all over medium brown. And then put in some hilites( they can be dark blonde) that way u get the same effect as your natural just a bit darker...

Do not bleach it.. 1 it will make your hair super dry.... 2nd We need that syran wrap off remember.. The color will just fall right off of that hair within a couple weeks (fade fast) and worse then now.

U might also wan't to think about trying a new stylist. If she has not helped u achieve what u needed or helped u enough maybe u need someone else with more experience with hair like yours...

Like I said. Remember u can always get a redo On hair that u are not happy with. but do it within 2 wks or they will probley say no fix.

Also To help color stay in Make sure u are using Shampoo and Conditioner for color treated hair, Also products that don't strip out color, and stay away from the sun that can cause fading. Never shampoo everyday. Every other is ok. It will also strip some of that color out , and it is not good for the hair..... Gl.. If u have any more questions .. .Give me a holla

Help! Dyed hair?

try really dark brown, ash turns your hair green usually so be careful with that.. black would dEFINETLY cover it.. and go permanent

Help! Dyed hair?

whatever you do dont go out and buy hair color i learned the hard way what you wanna do is go to a hair salon its more money but its deff. worth it they know what there talking about and they will give you diffrent options and if your natural hair color is blond and brown why would it change to red cause its your mothere natural? good luck !!!

Help! Dyed hair?

just shave it and start over.... or try blond that will get everything out and dye it again!

Help! Dyed hair?

Bleaching it sounds like a really good idea and it is the only way to get rid of the other color for good. Just make sure you get a natural looking brown to put over it because your hair will really pick up the color of the dye after it is bleached. Your mother having red hair will not make you hold on to a dye in your hair anymore than anyone else. Permanent is exactly that.

Help! Dyed hair?

that funny I just went through that too, my natural colour is auburn and I just wanted dark brown, I tried it all even the bleaching and by the way that just made it Orange because of the red in my hair. so I went to the store and bought a box of dark brown with no red(ash) and it works for a bit and eventually the red always wins....grrrrrrrr!

Help! Dyed hair?

How long is your hair? Unless it's super long, I would think the part that was dyed before would have grown out and been cut off by now. I'm not a stylist, but I think red is somewhere between brown and blonde on the hair color wheel. I think there are two things you can do.

1. Be like Britany and shave your head OR

2. Go to a professional, a really good one, like the salon Toni %26amp; Guy (the Bed Head products are made by them). Be willing to pay good money for their advice.

Help! Dyed hair?

Try using a dark brown if that don't work then I would go to a salon and have your hair striped and then dyed the color you want it. I've had to do the same thing before but I wanted the black outta my hair.

Where can I find Demi-Permanent Hair Color?

Hello all, I recently purchased extenstions don't match my hair color to a "t". My natural hair color is about a 1b, 2 and the hair that I purchased is a little bit more brown than my hair. It's not suggested to color the extensions, since it's already processed. I don't want to go with a permanent color, so I'm looking for a demi-permanent color for my natural hair. Does anyone have any idea of what hair color BRANDS I should look for when looking for a color to dye my hair? Thanks!

Where can I find Demi-Permanent Hair Color?

you should get a semi permanent color im not sure of the color to match but you should go to the beauty supply and take the hair with you that you already brought and match the colors up like that i hope i help you out

http://s162.photobucket.com/albums/t279/...

the short hair ones are more recent. I want to change my hair color and do something new. so if you guys have any suggestions or opinions or ideas please let me know. ohh and also what type of products you would suggest.

THANKS!

Hair color question?? help?

since you hair is pretty dark, i recommend that you have it done professionally. I just went from black to blonde and really damaged my hair by doing it myself.

I think you would look really nice with some heavy caramel colored hi-lites, especially around your face. You are a pretty girl, and should stay true to your heritage.

Hair stylists please help me!!!!!?

so i was blonde for a year and then i decided to get extensions that were brown.. so i dyed my hair to match the extensions. now i've taken the extensions out and i really don't want to damage my hair any more by dying it. my hair doesn't hold dark colors very well so it's already faded alot.

so here's my question if the brown color is fading out of my hair will it go to my natural hair color when it's all faded out or will it go back to the blonde?

: )bae

Hair stylists please help me!!!!!?

yeah it will go back to blonde. bleaching to blonde takes all the color pigment out of your hair so when the color fades it will go back to blonde.

Hair stylists please help me!!!!!?

It'll fade out to blonde. Your natural color no longer exists.

Madusa hair..?

i really need to do something with this mess, i will explain.

i havent worn my hair down in basically 3 years, ever.

well except when i went to the hair dresser and she straightened it nice for me.

My hair is SUPER SUPER thick, curly AND wavy!

its realy embarassing actually, i let it down the other night after a shower just to see how my natural hair looks, and i pretty much looked like a lion lol. My hair is a bit past my shoulders.

i was thinking ..if i got a good flat iron, and maybe some straight extensions..would it weigh down my hair?

how would that look?

Madusa hair..?

You could try the Loreal Extenso treatment. My friend has similar hair type like you, she went in for Extenso and now her hair looks long, straight and shiny. She has a round face so it also lengthens her frame giving her a slimmer look. She has her hair retouched once in 6 months. So consider Extenso. Good Luck!

Madusa hair..?

extensions will not help.

a good iron and a smoothing cream should

Madusa hair..?

dont get a flat iron, thats just going to fry your hair, and you will have to have it a straight style, if you got it chemically relaxed, it would still be curly, but it would be managable

Dyeing hair!?

ok like today I am getting blonde hair dye (I still have my natural hair color) but I need to know wich shade would look best on brown hair a bit on the dark side. I am going into 6th grade and the only reason I am doing this is because I need to umm... like have blonde hair it isn't pier pressure...i was thinking about doing the 30 day wash out but ppl are telling me that you can't do that with brown hair and I really don't want to end up with hay hair like my sister. do you have any ideas on what I can do?! I need some more answers......

Dyeing hair!?

just light streaks

Dyeing hair!?

go to a salon to get it done, they will lighten it gradually if your hair is very dark. or just give you lots of highlights, but if u do it at home it may not come out how u would want it to.

always better to go to a professional

Dyeing hair!?

I doubt blonde hair dye (like from a drug store?) will lighten your brown hair. .you'll have to bleach it to make it blonde. Wash out color will def not work unless you want to go darker.

To keep from damaging it you should get highlights. . and use good conditioner!

Hair bleach?

I want to dye my hair but natural hair color is black.I was wondering What is a good hair bleach? How much does it cost?Where can I get it from? Also my hair is relaxed (chemically straighten).Don't tell me to go to an hair dresser.I want to do this on my own. Thanks

Hair bleach?

I have recently bleeched my hair blonde myself from being brown, it came out yellow and i got it a nice blonde but it is seriously like straw it is that dry.

First, you should use a pre-lightner which can lighten your hair up to 7 shades. It WILL go yellow or even orange as it is stripping the pigments out of your hair.

Then, try loreal preference but not the blonding one.

Make sure you leave your hair for at least a week after you have used the prelightner before you put anything else on.

Also, condition it LOADS and shampoo less as your hair will go dry with bleaching it yourself.

Hope thats helped.

Should i redye my hair?

okay so long story short i highlighted my hair myself and it turned out really bad, veryyy blonde..my natural hair color is brunette. sooo to cover up my highlights i dyed my whole head a Light Golden Brown that stuff has worn out %26amp;%26amp; so now im back to how the highlights are, except the highlights are a lot lighter. i really like the hair color i have now but my mom says my roots are getting very bad...should i just dye my hair back to a light brown and so i can get my normal color back? or what should i do? i have pictures of my hair %26amp;%26amp; the color so you can tell me what you think would look best.

i either want it to stay the same color or go back to my natural color, but if you have other suggestions...

Should i redye my hair?

I think it looks good the color it is in those pictures. You look so much like my little brother's girlfriend, but her name is Candace. N E WAYS you know that they have a hair dye that you can buy at any store that is just to touch up you roots, try that.

Should i redye my hair?

Dying your hair is addicting. I started dying my hair in the sixth grade, and now I am almost 20. Your hair looks fine. If the roots bother you so much and you don't want to pay an arm and a leg at the parlor, just do it all the golden color.
