Hair Question, Please Help!!!!!:)?

so my natural hair color is a dirty dishwater blond, and i usually have platinum blond highlights......well my highlights have grown out about 2 inches, so i have my natural color coming back in.........i want my all over color to just be my natural blond, so if i go to the drugstore and get a kit, do i just put it on the bottom half or all over?

thanks!!

Hair Question, Please Help!!!!!:)?

Do Not go with a box kit!!! They have so much ammonia and you only need to deposit color,so it will be less damaging to use something with less ammonia

go to your local Sally Beauty Supply because there is something you will need to put over the hightlights to make sure it grabs the color and not just the base of a haircolor

I reccommend a neutral protein filler, and use a 10 volume developer (standard is 20 when you are lightening but again you only want to deposit!!!) with whatever shade you are going to put on. I like Loreal Preference but you can go with whatever brand you like. Ask one of the girls they will show you how to mix it. Also DEEP CONDITION. . . make sure you deep condition after any chemical treatment!

Hair Question, Please Help!!!!!:)?

no u dont wanna do that b/c it might be jus a lil differnet then the color at the top u should jus do ur whole head i did that exat same thing hope i could help[[best answer]]

Hair Question, Please Help!!!!!:)?

hey thats my color 2!!!!

i'd say the whole thing

Hair Question, Please Help!!!!!:)?

i think it's better all over b-cause if you just put the bottom half only than 2 morrow you never know if it turn to your hair color too than it will be more work.

Hair Question, Please Help!!!!!:)?

i would color it all because it would be bad if your hair was two different colors.

HELP! What is the best hair dye from a box???

Which brand of box hair color is the best in your opinion for dying hair red that wont come out absolutly horribly?? My natural hair color is a really dark brown with natural reddish highlights.

A friend who always dyes her hair uses Garnier Nutrisse, and her hair looks good-- so I got Red Tamale. Just wondering what yall's experiences have been?

Thanks!!!

HELP! What is the best hair dye from a box???

Hey. Well, red's the most difficult color...I suggest this...if your hair's dark your best bet is to bleach your hair FIRST then color it the shade you want. If you leave your color dark the way it is now--the color will NOT look the same as it is on the box!!! it will just look like you've added SUDDLE hilites... Ive been coloring my hair for 20+++++ yrs...trust me on this. you can color right after you bleach your hair just make sure you condition after you die it red %26amp; wash it!!!!!!!! then afterwards you can cont. to color w/out bleaching.garnier's a good brand. good luck %26amp; let me now how it turns out. peace! ~SC.

HELP! What is the best hair dye from a box???

GAINER 100% B/C THE COLOR HOLDS IT IN. I LOVE AVOCADO SMELL. 2 ME ITS THE BEST. FOR SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER IT HAS HERBAL ESSENCE THE FRUITY ONE.

HELP! What is the best hair dye from a box???

I have used Garnier Nutrise hair dye before. My natural hair color is a medium brown with some golden highlights and some darker brown highlights.

I currently have the Reddish Brown color in my hair and I love it! I was recommended by my stylist Garnier Nutrise. Honestly this is the only hair dye I will ever buy it's pretty gentle.

HELP! What is the best hair dye from a box???

I have tried most of the store brands out there. I highly recommend Garnier 100% color. I smells good. It's not all heavy and inky and makes my hair looks really shiny and the color never goes brassy or dull. The brown colors do tend to be lighter than the box shows and I think the other dyes tend to run darker.

Hair straitener...?

i just got a hair-straitener with ceramic plates. if i straitened my hair one in a week will it damage or dryout my hair? any helpful tips will be useful. oh, and do u think its pretty when a girl has just natural hair or strait? thanx

Hair straitener...?

It depends on your overall hair health. Your hair type and etc.

African Am. and cur;y hair is the most prone to damage, so if you are within this then be careful. And use products for heat protection.

Hair straitener...?

i dont think it will damage your hair. you could use a protective spray. L'Oreal + GHD both make them. Natural hair can look good but straight hair is nice now and again or for a night out.

Hair straitener...?

any heat on the hair will cause damage, always use a product that will protect your hair from the heat, always! If you use this product each time you can straiten your hair every day if this is the look you are going for. My self i like verity in looks, how wonderful to decide to go straight today and go curly tomorrow

Hair straitener...?

It can damage your hair. The best thing to do is to always apply a heat protectant to your hair before using heat tools (blow dryers, too), and to deep condition at LEAST once a month (once a week, if you can, is better).

Also, any time you don't HAVE to style your hair with heating tools, don't. If you can let it airdry, do this when you can. Give it a break a few days here and there.

Hair straitener...?

Definetly invest in a heat protecting product! If your hair is correctly protected and considering your hair is in good health it shouldn't cause your hair to dryout doing it only once a week!! I love straight couldn't live without my ghd's.

Hair straitener...?

Using a flat iron once a week should not dry it out, that's only 4 times a month. Just use a heat protectant on it first. I love my flat iron. I just ordered a professional one, cannot wait to get it.

Hair Dilema please help, What can I do?

I have been getting highlights in my hair for the past year now. But the past few months I haven't been able to afford them as me and my fiance have just got a house. My roots are now about 1-2inches long and I hate it.

Can I buy a home dye kit to turn my hair back to brown again as this would be easier until I can afford to start going again. I've heard that because parts of my hair are highlighted even when I dye it they will still be lighter than my natural hair.

Hair Dilema please help, What can I do?

Hi,you can try.Good Luck

Hair Dilema please help, What can I do?

only bit of advice i have - whatever you do DONT use sun-in as a cheap fix.

seriously.

dont do it.

ever.

Hair Dilema please help, What can I do?

You could try getting the hair dye that eva longoria advertises on tv where you get a second colour and mini brush thing, and put in your own highlights, then no one will be able to tell the difference!

Hair Dilema please help, What can I do?

It will be lighter as you've stripped your own hair of it's colour but you won't have the terrible roots and it will take about 6 - 8 weeks until it needs doing again and it won't look that bad. Rather than highlights have you though about having what the hair dresser calls a semi-permenant colour? This can be matched up to your darker colour to even it out. It does wash out and the first time you have it you will find it doesn't last as long EG: 6 weeks but after having them 2 or 3 times it will last up to 10 or even 12 weeks. You can only go darker or brighter though so no highlights. It's cheaper and not as damaging and is like the ones you buy in the shops but will last longer and look shiner. Not sure how much your salon charges but say if you pay 鎷?0 now, for the colour alone, then you may only pay about 鎷?0. Don't forget that you don't have to have it cut or dried to have it done and the hairdressers. They won't be offended if you say you only want the colour and not the other things.

Hair Dilema please help, What can I do?

If i were you i would call into a salon and ask their advice, tell them your problem and ask what you can do. They are usually very good at giving you free advice, especially if it is the salon you normally get your highlights done at, as they know you will go back when it is convenient financially..

Hair Dilema please help, What can I do?

I am not a hairdresser but I would be reluctant to do it yourself. Depending if the highlights have been chemically treated or not, you will need a professional colourist to change your hair colour back to your own natural shade. Apparently it is done in stages and red has to be added back first. Doing it yourself could result in your hair going a shade of green... (Past experience).

If you can't afford it at the moment, is it long enough to put up? Or you can those mascara wands that add colour but wash out easily...

I would try and make the most of it until you can go to a hairdresser........ Good luck...

How soon can I recolor my hair after a bad hair job?

Ok...so I colored my hair with a supposed dark brown, my hair is naturally dark brown, but I have been coloring it for several years light brown, well I decided to go back to natural color and went an got clairol color 131 dark brown...it looked great on the box and looke to be my natural hair color, well I put it in and left it for 25 min and got in the shower...umm well w/ my skin tone and eye color...well lets just say I look like a young witch....yea I have black hair...not that black hair is bad, I like it on certain ppl, but me? NOPE it aint my thang....HELP!!!...So tonight after the bad hairjob I went and got a medium golden brown color117...when can I use it....??? I have to work and be somewhere this weeken and I need to look good, PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

How soon can I recolor my hair after a bad hair job?

Look, hair dye is harmful to hair, so just cool you jets for now, okay? When all done and summed up, hair is just hair, and it could be worse. It's simply not your colour. To avoid the harshness and 'witch'-like look, get some sidebangs and wear you hair up in a ponny or clipped up with the bangs down... sort of a messy look, if you like it. Wait a couple of months and then think of recolouring. You'll have to bleach though.

If you really hate this colour, maybe you need to try a colour stripper? But, I'm telling you. Everything that works to get rid of dark colours will MURDER you hair. Like... MASACRE. Just toughten it out, it'll be back to normal in no time ;)

How soon can I recolor my hair after a bad hair job?

wait for a few more months before doing anything

How Can I get my hair up without hair products?

I don't like having my hair all stiff. But I want my hair to like point up. My hair naturaly is down, and I don't like it, but I hate puting gel on because it makes my hair soo stiff. I have this wax but i don't want my hair like oily and wet either.

My hair is dark dark brown and thick. Is there a certain conditioner to use?

If this can't be done naturaly, can someone reccomend me a NATURAL hair product that won't damage my hair?

How Can I get my hair up without hair products?

Try skipping the conditioner and blow dry your hair upside down - that made my hair stand up on its own when I had short hair.

Is permed and colored hair healthy hair?

a lot of people say that permed and colored hair isn't healthy because of the chemicals. they say that the chemicals alter the natural hair curl in ones hair and strip it to make it straight. is any of this true. i've heard all kinds of stuff, like perms give people cancer. i was wondering if perms are as damaging as i hear. some people say they permed their hair so long and tried to get their hair to grow back without a perm and their hair is balding, and coarser, but doesn't hair change over time? i'm confused.

Is permed and colored hair healthy hair?

Bleaching, perming and straightening severely damage your hair. But it does grow back. As you get older the coarseness of your hair changes.

Is permed and colored hair healthy hair?

I had very long hair that I colored a lot and I just had to have about 6 inches taken off of it due to color damage...I have very thick naturally curly hair and while it never took the curl out, the over-processing made it dull, dry, and frizzy...

Now the thing is, I was using at-home hair color, and from what the stylist told me, this is worse then having it professionally done, because they use better quality chemicals. I never trusted this before because I just figured they were trying to sell me an expensive salon color job, and I just stuck to the cheap store bought stuff. But this girl that told me this recently works in a salon that does not do color, so I would have to assume it's really true.

I recommend what the stylist told me. If you have your hair colored or permed, have it professionally done, and have it maintenanced only as often as you have to.
